Irish PM: Brexit backstop not undermined by additional assurances
Legally binding assurances on Brexit that Britain won from the European Union do not undermine the backstop or its application in avoiding a hard border on the island of Ireland, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said on Tuesday.
Oil rises to $67 on cuts to Saudi, Venezuelan exports
Oil rose to around $67 a barrel on Tuesday, supported by Saudi Arabia's plan for further voluntary supply curbs in April and by a cut in oil exports from Venezuela due to a power outage.
