A global sting in which organized crime gangs were sold encrypted phones that law enforcement officials could monitor has led to more than 800 arrests in 18 countries.
The operation by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, Australian and European police ensnared suspects in Australia, Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East involved in the global narcotics trade.
Here's the story of how an informant and a messaging app led to a huge global crime sting.
MAJOR INTERNET OUTAGE
Government, media and news website are coming back to life after a widespread outage linked to U.S.-based cloud company Fastly.
High traffic sites including Reddit, Amazon, CNN, Paypal, Spotify and the New York Times all experienced problems.
