- Palestinians returned to the scarred streets of Jenin after Israel ended an unusually intense 48-hour raid, some of them preparing heroes' funerals for the dead while others set about repairing the 75-year-old refugee camp. Twelve Palestinians, at least five of them fighters, and one Israeli soldier were killed.
- Russia and Ukraine accused each other of plotting to stage an attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station, long the subject of mutual recriminations and suspicions. - China's export controls on metals used in making semiconductors are "just a start", a trade policy adviser said, as it ramps up a tech fight with the US. The announcement of controls on exports of some gallium and germanium products has sent companies scrambling to secure supplies.
- Shares in K-Pop management agencies fell, after South Korea's antitrust watchdog began investigations into potential infractions of subcontracting rules when outsourcing production of albums and merchandise. It sent investigators to the offices of HYBE, SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment, Yonhap reported.
