REUTERS War in Iran US President Donald Trump's demands for a coalition to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz appeared to fall on deaf ears as allies Japan and Australia said they were not planning to send navy vessels to the Middle East. The war is disrupting the flow of critical medicines to the Gulf, imperiling supply routes for cancer drugs and other treatments that require refrigeration and forcing companies to reroute flights and find overland access into the region, industry executives said. Dubai's international airport was gradually resuming flights after a fire caused by a drone attack forced a temporary suspension, further disrupting traffic in one of the world's busiest air travel hubs. A fifth member of the Iranian women's soccer team has withdrawn her claim for asylum in Australia and will be rejoining the rest of the squad in Malaysia. The offbeat tale of political resistance traded wins with the vampire story "Sinners," setting up a fight to the end at the Dolby Theatre.  "KPop Demon Hunters," a Netflix movie that became a global phenomenon, was named best animated feature. Its catchy song, "Golden," won the award for best original song. The glitzy celebration, Hollywood's most over-the-top gala of the year, took place as the US wages war on Iran.
