Nobel medicine prize awarded for work on parasitic diseases
STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - William Campbell, Satoshi Omura and Youyou Tu jointly won the 2015 Nobel Prize for medicine for their work against parasitic diseases, the award-giving body said on Monday.
Kyrgyz polls tarnished by ballot secrecy concerns
BISHKEK (Reuters) - Western monitors said on Monday weekend polls in Kyrgyzstan, a country struggling to build Central Asia's first parliamentary democracy, allowed lively campaigning but were marred by lack of impartial media coverage and concerns over ballot secrecy.
